Neeza was referred to me by our family friend back in 2016 after I was informed that my oldest son was not on his grade level. Despite IEP’s, speech classes and my own personal involvement/training it wasn’t enough. Upon meeting Neeza, I was impressed with the 1st phone call. Seriously, she contacted me immediately, asked pertinent questions about my son, his school, his current levels etc…; but then she asked me about him! What does he like, his favorite color and sport. Within the 1st week, she arrived and started her tutoring services with my son. He is my shy guy and my introvert but I was able to leave him alone with Neeza–most of time–so that I was not a distraction. Immediately, his teachers and coaches contacted me via agenda and shared how much he was improving and most of all, his level of confidence was going up. They could tell. The best part, they didn’t know that I had a tutor for him until the end of the school year! Throughout the year, he improved, excelled and exceeded the expectations of many. His teachers actually called me at 10am when test results returned to tell me (before any other parents) that he had passed his test by 2 points. Neeza has a unique gift to, not only lead, but to adapt to the needs of the child she is with. I have a motto: “any teacher can demand that the child adapts to their style and teaching; but it takes a good teacher to adapt to the style and needs of the student.” Neeza does just that!! There is no doubt in my mind she will excel in tutoring, teaching and all other calls on her life. Its a gift that she loves to share!
My son has learning challenges due to his diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and has struggled this past year in the Palm Beach County School District. My husband and I noticed he was losing confidence in himself and decided to seek Ms. Neeza’s help. She has been tutoring him in math and reading for the past 10 months. He absolutely loved his tutoring sessions from the start because she makes learning fun. She varies her teaching strategies to meet his individual needs and help him better understand lessons from school. Although he has great difficulty with language development, he does not hesitate to communicate freely his thoughts about assignments with joy and pride during tutoring sessions. He is excited about every lesson. Why? Ms. Neeza is always patient, positive, flexible with teaching methods, and knowledgable. She constantly builds his confidence, makes learning fun, and allows him to express himself while completing assigned work. She tutors in our home, the library, or another convenient location, which has been a great convenience to us, especially during the busy school year. We’ve been very grateful for her assistance with our son’s learning path.
